Next month’s SBC Digital North America conference will look at the critical steps in the further development of the sports betting industry in North America. The main topics will include regulation, payments, and innovations in the sports betting and iGaming industries.

The online conference will run on June 9 and 10, 2021. It will be the largest meeting of executives from the US and Canadian iGaming and sports betting industries this year.

The conference will feature 120 speakers, including some of the biggest names in the sports betting and iGaming industries. John Levy (CEO, theScore), Joe Asher (former William Hill CEO in the US), and Daniel Graetzer (owner of the Carousel group and CEO of sportsbetting.com) will all be giving speeches on the opening day.

Other big names include Richard Kalm (executive director of the Michigan Gaming Control Board), Andrew Winchell (director of government affairs, FanDuel), Richard Schwartz (president of Rush Street Interactive), and Sarah Oliphant Crennan (VP & head of content, Yahoo Sports).

The first day will feature conference tracks focused on Products & Innovation, Regulation, and Marketing & Affiliation, while on June 10, the topics will cover Responsible Gambling, Payments, & Standards, and Leadership in iGaming.

Another interesting panel called “It’s a Team Game” will feature senior executives from both sports organizations and operators. It will discuss how to increase fan engagement through strategic partnerships between betting operators and sports leagues.

An interactive exhibition will allow delegates to view the latest products in the sportsbook and iGaming industries, while themed roundtables at the panels will allow them to network with people who share the same business interests easily.

“The legal sports betting industry has enjoyed impressive growth over the last three years, managing to successfully launch in multiple markets, build its customer base, and become established as part of the sporting world’s ecosystem. As operators make plans for further expansion, they now face a new set of challenges. Their responses will influence their long-term success,” said Sue Schneider, SBC’s Vice President of Growth & Strategy for the Americas.

“The Leadership in Betting track at SBC Digital North America will provide valuable insights on many of those issues, with perspectives ranging from those of senior executives at global gambling powerhouses to the rising stars of challenger betting brands, along with input from the wider sports industry and investment experts,” she concluded.
