If you’re following the NJ betting scene diligently, you already know that DraftKings was the first to launch a sports-betting app about a month ago. We didn’t wait long before playMGM did the same and PlaySugarHouse followed the pattern the same day.

Shortly after that, two more apps were released when FanDuel and William Hill launched their sports-betting apps the same day, September 1. It’s important to note that both of these apps have just passed the five-day soft launch period, and now we wait for the DGE to approve them.

FanDuel Group on the NJ Betting Scene

FanDuel sports betting had already joined the NJ sports betting scene on July 14 by offering sports-betting services at the Meadowlands Racetrack. However, after the soft-launch period passes, it’s expected that all NJ punters will be able to download the FanDuel sports-betting app and gamble from the comfort of their homes.

The app is available for both Android and iOS platforms—and we can expect a great interface and fully functional service since FanDuel’s sportsbook runs using the technology from their new owner, gambling giant Paddy Power Betfair.TV, beer and chips

William Hill Available Only for Android Users

Just recently, William Hill’s sports-betting app for the residents of Nevada got an “NV” extension which only meant one thing—William Hill now has two sports-betting apps. The first one proved to be a great success since W. Hill is a sports-betting giant in Europe, and now NJ punters will have the chance to bet on their favorite sports events as well. For the time being, William Hill has only launched their product for Android users, but it’s expected that it will be available for iOS users as well.

William Hill US already runs a sports book at Ocean Resorts and Monmouth Park Racetrack, but it has also decided to offer mobile sports betting to its users. For now, the app is only available to certain users since the five-day testing period has just finished. However, we believe that a full launch will come shortly.
